Tribute

Daniel Patrick Evans Parda, 41, of Chattanooga, departed this world and into the arms of God August 14, 2020. He suffered a brain aneurysm as he was enjoying the view of Chickamauga Lake from his balcony. Dan lived a full life in his 41years. He was born in Cincinnati, OH, May 16, 1979. His family moved to Longmeadow, MA where he enjoyed playing all sports, snow skiing being his favorite and attending Boston Red Sox games, especially when playing the Detroit Tigers. His godparent, George Anderson would always make sure he had front row seats. His family relocated to Signal Mountain, TN when Dan started 4th grade at Thrasher Elementary. Dan graduated from Red Bank High and UTC with a degree in history and enjoyed the world of technology as an IT Consultant. He loved cars, enjoyed watching the races, the Mecum Auctions, as well as restoring his Chevy. His love of Civil War history intensified as he lived in TN and met several members of his family who are descendants of Capt. John C. Wilson, KY 8th Infantry. Dan made friends very easily and from every walk of life, he never met a stranger. He was indeed a “true friend” due to his loyalty, honesty, kindness, generosity, strength and compassion. His unique sense of humor and unconditional love made the world a better place. Dan always put others before himself. The joy of his life and person he loved the most and was most proud of is Maddox, his son. He was a devoted father as he and Maddox shared a special, unbreakable bond. They enjoyed many fun times together while fishing, playing video games, making road trips to FL, Pigeon Forge and many other destinations. One of their most recent celebrations was Maddoxs' confirmation in the faith. Dan had many fine qualities that have passed forward to Maddox. Dan was always available to care for his family members, those related by birth and those specially chosen. Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward B. and Edith (Gurney) Parda, Christine Moberly Huggins, Sim Francis Huggins, cousin, Andrea Kaye Huggins, uncle, Timothy deJesus.
