Curry David McGee

Curry David McGee, 28, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born on February 6, 1990, in Chattanooga, to David and Margay (Thomas) McGee. He was a lifelong Chattanooga resident who attended The Baylor School, Samford University and Chattanooga State Community College. He was employed as a chemical operator at Wacker Polysilicon in Charleston, TN. Curry was a selfless hard worker, skilled grill master and outdoor enthusiast. He was most proud and happy when he spent time with his two sons, Jamey and Elias. There was no better “green monster of the dark, dark forest” than Curry.
Curry is survived by his sons, Jamey David and Elias Jeremiah, their mother Ahni McGee and his parents David and Margay McGee, all of Chattanooga; his siblings Cody McGee, also of Chattanooga, and his sister Caylee (Jay) Peters, of Johnson City. He also leaves behind his paternal grandparents Eugene and Gracie McGee, of Chattanooga; one niece, Elliot McGee; several aunts, uncles. and cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Marlin and Maude (Harris) Thomas, of Chattanooga.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3-7 and Monday from 1-2 PM at Lane Funeral Home, Chattanooga. The memorial service will be held on Monday at 2 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Frick officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Highway 153 in Hixson. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to a fund set up for Curry’s two sons; donations can be made online at “GoFundMe in Memory of Curry McGee.”
