Comnena S. Rogers

Comnena Shearer Rogers, 92, of Red Bank, died after a brief battle with COVID-19 on November 26, 2020 in a local hospital. Mrs. Rogers was a lifelong resident of Red Bank, and an active member of The Red Bank United Methodist Church and The Shaw-Murray Class. She was the daughter of the late William Alvin Shearer and Anna Pauline (Brown) Shearer. Comnena was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joe L. Rogers, sister, Betty Shearer Elkins, and sister-in-law Joyce Rogers Martin. Survivors include son, Richard E. Rogers (Jean), daughter, JoAnna L. Rogers both of Chattanooga, grandson, Andrew E. Rogers (Heather), and granddaughter, Aden St. Charles (Patrick) along with 5 great-grandchildren who always brought such joy to her heart. Survivors also include special nieces, nephews, cousins, and her brother-in-law Malcolm Martin all of whom she loved dearly. A special thanks to the staff of Dominion Senior Living for all of the love and comfort they gave her while a resident in their community. Per her wishes, a private, graveside service will be held for the family at Chattanooga Memorial Park and she also wished for all of her friends to remember her in their own special way. She hopes for tears of joy and laughter remembering special times they personally had with her. She wanted each and every friend to know how much she loved them.
