Charmaine C Layton

Charmaine Laura Card Layton of Soddy Daisy, went home to be with the Lord on September 20, 2021. She was a member of Red Bank Methodist Church and longtime co-owner of Lometa’s Flower Shop in Soddy Daisy. She graduated from Soddy Daisy High School. She was a loving wife and mother. Charmaine was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Layton; parents, Raymond and Lometa Armour Card; and brother, Marvin Card. She is survived by her sister, Rosemary Card Schreiner; brother, Gary Card (Betty); sister-in-law, Kathleen Card; three children: Mark Lea (Kathy), Marchetta Anderson (Fred), Bart Lea (Laquita) and stepdaughter, Merry Storer; five grandchildren: Eric Lea, Derrick Anderson, Justin Anderson, Joshua Lea and David Lea. Visitation will be Tuesday September 28, 2021 at Lane Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, the service will follow at noon in the Coulter chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for their care and support.
