Billy Gene Sanders, Sr.

Billy Gene Sanders Sr. left this earthly world on Friday December 31, 2021, to meet his parents Georgia and Pascal Sanders at the gates of heaven, along with his sisters, Marvine, Maxine, Geniva,  Earnistine, and Troyce whom all preceded him in death.

Bill, born February 17, 1955, was from Pickett Road Signal Mountain, Tennessee, and moved to North Chattanooga with the love of his life and wife of 40 years. Judy Sanders whom both being well respected saddle makers most of their life. He loved to socialize with friends and family anywhere he could find a smoking section. In recent year he was thankful to be able to return to Signal Mountain to live out the rest of his days with family and dog “Baby”.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Sanders ; sisters, Linda and Carline; as well as three brothers, Carl (Duck), Pascal Jr. (Buddy Bay) and Charlie. He is also survived by seven children; Sue, Joe, Mary, Billy Jr. (B.J.), Jon and from his first wife Bobby and Johnathan. Nine grandchildren and four and half great grandbabies as well as many in-laws, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 5, 2022, at 11 A.M. from the Coulter Chapel of the Lane Funeral Home with Pastor John Weaver officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sawyer Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday January 4, 2022,  from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
