Barbara Ann Lane

Barbara Gregory Lane, 86, originally of Maryville, TN went to her eternal home with Jesus on November 8th at her home in Chattanooga, TN surrounded by loved ones. A graduate of UTK and ROTC Sponsor, Barbara was a true TN Volunteer. Barbara was not just a TN volunteer, but was also a devoted volunteer with Changed Lives, where she spent countless hours serving the Chattanooga community. She also served the community with her gift of teaching vocational skills and further helping those students find careers. She truly blessed all those she encountered, but the job she did best was loving her family. She will be best remembered as a selfless wife, mom & Nanny by those who loved her most. Overcoming breast cancer and a stroke, she fought until the very end to be by her family’s side and comfort them. We hope she will find a pimento cheese sandwich and a cold glass of Vernors waiting for her at the gates of heaven.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 65 years John Lane. Daughter Sara (Husband, Alan) Mitchell and their two daughters Jessica (Husband, Derick) and Jacqueline.  Son John Gregory (Wife, Terri) Lane and their daughter Rachael.

Graveside services will be held Thursday November 10, 2022, at 12:30 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
