Tribute

Barbara Wyatt Evans, 88, passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side in Ringgold, Saturday, August 15, 2020. She was a long time resident of Chattanooga until moving to GA. She graduated from Central High School and worked for many years as secretary to State Farm Agents – Gene Sharpe, Larry Sharpe, Jim Little, before retiring. After retirement, she worked at WDYN Radio Station, part-time and was a member of McFarland UMC. He was an avid reader and bird watcher and loved to go to O’Charley’s, with her friends on Wednesday Pie Days and also loved being on the Central High School Reunion Committee with all her classmates. She loved going to the beach in Florida and Pigeon Forge. She also loved singing in the church choir, and singing duets with her husband Jim and trios with her husband Jim and her father Henry. She was a member of ABWA for many years and a CNA at Alexian Brothers Nursing Home for several years. She is preceded in death by parents, Henry and Letha Hughes, husbands, James L Wyatt of thirty eight years and Thomas Evans of five years. Survived by daughters, Sharon (Steve) Roberts, Donna Stanley, sons, Jim (Terri) Wyatt and Tim (Linda) Wyatt, grandchildren, Michelle (Dan) Dotson, Jay (Audra Wilhoite) Wyatt, Nicole Wyatt, Charlie Wyatt, Lora (Zach) More, TJ Wyatt, great-grandchildren, Kaila (Britton Cameron) Dotson, Ben Dotson, Andrew Dotson, Landon Wyatt, Caleb Wyatt, Elena More, Liam More, aunts, Dorothy White and Virginia Parker. She is also survived by her cat, Sweetie and her grand-dog, Hope. Thank you to Patty, our angel of mercy and all the Hospice staff from Hospice of Chattanooga. Graveside service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Chattanooga Memorial with Rev. Wayne Cook officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim Cooke, Dan Dotson, Britton Cameron, Cole Newsome, Ben Dotson, and Andrew Dotson. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Union Gospel Mission or Ronald McDonald House.
