Tribute

Anthony Dayne Walden, 43, of Red Bank, passed away on June 14, 2020. He was a member of Spring Church of Christ in Decatur. He was affectionately known as Waldo, Goober, Dork, Buet and Ant. He graduated from Red Bank High School where he loved playing baseball and wrestling. He worked for Valvoline Instant Oil Change for many years as a mechanic until he was overcome with health issues. He was also a member of the Chattanooga Chapter of Ex-prisoners of War. He had a love for music, even playing in a band for many years. He had a love for Nascar, going to many races as well as a love for fishing, going any spare moment that he could with his family. He never met a stranger and had a heart like no one in the world. He had a sarcastic humor that always had you thinking then laughing. He loved Amps, Nos, marvel, contest of champions, his golf cart and playing with his dogs. He would be the first one to help you if you were in trouble and the last one to leave. He always had a smile and gave the best hugs even to strangers. Anthony's battle with health issues eventually was more than his body could bear. God called him home. He will still be the brightest star in our universe and his spirit will live on in all the beautiful ways that he once touched our lives. He is survived by his loving parents, Edmon Dayne and Eve Pauline Walden; his sister, Teresa Strong; his niece, Maggie Strong, he loved his niece like she was his own; aunts, Sharlon and Gaylen Walden and Judy Watts; uncle, Dwayne Walden as well as many cousins and many, many friends.
