Willard Mizzell, 81, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017. A native of Charleston, SC, he had lived in the Chattanooga-Dayton area for 27 years.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Willard retired from US Express after 15 years and later worked for Volunteer Trucking. He was an avid Gamecocks fan, softball umpire and coached Red Bank Girls Softball Association for many years.
Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Essie Mizzell; brother, George Mizzell.
Survivorsare his wife Rosemary Mizzell; daughter, DeeJay (Chad) Haas; brother, Auburn Mizzell (Mary Sue) of Goose Creek, SC. Grandchildren: Connor, Parker, Kinsey and Maecie; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 5:00 pm Sunday at Red Bank Baptist with Reverend Josh Lancaster officiating. Visitation is 3:00-5:00 pm Sunday also at Red Bank Baptist Church.
