Robert T. “ Buddy “ Stancel , 73, of Chattanooga, passed away on January 1,2018. Buddy was born in Charleston , South Carolina on October 3, 1944 to parents, Truman L. and Annie M. Stancel. Buddy was a Master Craftsman of many different trades. Buddy was a passionate bluegrass musician, who taught himself to play numerious instruments including the guitar, banjo, fiddle, and mandolin, and many others. He also loved watching his grandson Bruce Jr. play baseball. He was also a Tennesseee Vols. Fan.
Buddy was preceded in death by parents, Truman and Annie Stancel; and sister, Bonnie Bland.
Survivors include sister, Ruth Burton (Charles); son, Bruce Stancel; daughters, Marcy and Vicky; grandchildren: Bruce Jr., Evan Douthit, Larissa Douthit and Chelsey Brock; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
