Mary Sue Sewell, 79, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 in a local hospital.
Born in Athens, TN, she moved from Meigs County to Chattanooga 55 years ago. Sue was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a Weather Watcher for Channel 3 for many years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl; parents, Thelma Jane Carter Vaughn Best and Hoyal Stanton Vaughn.
Survivors include her son, Curtis (Tammy) Sewell, daughters, Dollie (Doug) Sarrell and Cindy (Fred) Cooke, grandchildren, Emily, Holly, Lindsey, David, Desiree’, Brittney, Brandie, Tyler, Jessica and Scotty, great-grandchildren, Sean, Gabe, Carly, Abbie, River and Eli, brother, Donald (Sheila) Vaughn and sister, Joanne (Carl) McNeely.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Monday, March 13, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Coffman officiating. Interment is in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 12 noon – 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home and from 10-2 Monday at the church.
