Marjorie Marie Thomas, 88, of Hixson, passed away December 17, 2017. She was a devoted member of Red Bank Baptist Church. She was loved by the Truth Seekers Sunday School class, which meant so much to her. Marjorie was a wonderful wife and mother, outstanding example and deeply loved by her children and all of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Thomas; her parents, Lee and Bertie Smith; sister, Mayme Hendon; brothers, Lebron and Willard Smith; granddaughter, Jennifer Granberry.
Survivors include her son, Barry Thomas (Etta); daughter, Joan Arp (Robert); daughter, Nina Pomeroy (Greg); son, David Thomas (Dareitha); grandchildren: Jarod Floyd (Michelle), Lindsey Robertson (Robbie), Katie Pomeroy, Christy Pomeroy, Abbey Caldwell (Bruce), Collin Thomas, Trent Thomas; great grandchildren: Faith, Jason, Justis, Jayden, Jacob, Justin, Jaclyn; sister, Bernice Key; brother, Milton Smith (Faye); several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday in the Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Reverend Bill Harvey will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6:00pm -8:00pm Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral Home.
