Jennifer Ann Usrey

Jennifer Ann Usrey gained her angel wings on April 1st, 2024 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy defined by her deep-rooted love for her family and an extensive circle of friends. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence.

Jennifer was born in Natchez, Mississippi to Dorothy Lucille Groff Sisson and Willard Earl Marionneaux, Jr. She attended St. Frederick High School and graduated from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) with a master’s degree in accounting. After graduation she obtained her CPA license and went to work in Houston, Texas for the Arthur Andersen Accounting Firm. When illness forced her to stop working, she was working as a CPA for Aycock & Company, LLP. Jennifer also loved to travel and read, and she was actively involved with Signal Mountain Soccer and CFC Soccer.

Jennifer was a dedicated mother and wife first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She is survived by her beloved husband, Spencer Usrey; three children: Ella Usrey, Caroline Usrey and Jackson Usrey; her parents, Lucy Sisson (Brealon) and Bill Marionneaux (Genny); one brother, Mark Marionneaux (Alicia); three step-brothers: Todd Harris, Tyler Harris(Maegan),Christopher Sisson; one step-sister Brittany Sisson Combel (Kevin); and eight nieces and nephews: Dylan Marionneaux, Kaylea Marionneaux, Paige Marionneaux, Hank Harris, Isabella Usrey, Gabriella Usrey, Marleigh Combel, and Zoe Combel;  and numerous extended family members.

The family would like to thank Jennifer’s mother and father-in-law; Tommy and Melanie Usrey as well as her brother-in-law Christopher Usrey (Katie) for their love and support of Jennifer.

The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to Jennifer’s friends: Debbie Westbrook, Jeni Yielding, and Leah Rackley; for all their love, friendship, and care that they gave to Jennifer.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in Jennifer Ann Usrey’s name to The American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation and funeral services for Jennifer will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Signal Mountain, Tennessee. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00am with the Funeral Mass immediately following at 11:00am. A reception and visitation will be held at the church immediately following the Mass.
