James H. Baucom, 78, of Hixson, TN passed away Friday, November 3. He was a 1957 graduate of Marshall County High School and attended East Central College, Decatur, MS where he was football manager. James enjoyed fishing, golf, spending time watching his grandchildren participate in sports. He was an avid reader and loved sports and was a University of TN football fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Baucom; mother, Eudenia Franklin Baucom; brother, Dale Baucom and sister Gayle Harris.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Baucom, daughter, Julie (Larry) Meeker; grandsons, Cooper Hamilton, Cole Meeker, Ethan Meeker; grand daughters, Kelsey Hamilton, Emma Meeker.

The family will receive friends Sunday, 2:00-4:00 pm and Monday 12:00-1:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Darrel Davenport officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
