Betty Bishop Smith, 90 of Hixson, passed away, Saturday August 26 2017. Mrs. Smith worked as a substitute teacher, Marketing for Chattanooga New Comers, Avon, Nikken Magnets and Tupperware. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from UTC .
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Malcenia Bishop Hayes Betty Smith and Aaron Bishop, and her husband James Douglas Smith Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Betty Cynthia Smith Hanson of Taylorsville, NC, Nina Louise Smith Morgan, of San Diego, CA; her son, James Douglas Smith III of Hixson, TN; four grand -children, one great grand- child.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11 am at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association –Hixson.
