Avanelle Strange, 78, of Hixson, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, following an extended illness. Avanelle was a faithful member of Red Bank Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, David; children: Roger, Stuart and Teresa (husband, Craig); grandchildren: Jason, Corrie (husband, Christopher) and Carissa; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to Northside Neighborhood House or Red Bank Presbyterian Church.
Visitation is 1:00-3:00 pm Sunday, May 7, 2017 and 11:30-1:30 pm Monday, May 8, 2017 at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace. Funeral service will be 1:30 pm Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Reverend Eric Duble and Reverend Everett Gossett officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
