Arthur William “Bill” Triplett, age 84, of Red Bank, passed away January 2, 2018. Growing up and working in the dairy business until the early 60’s (then a few years in the insurance business), he found his calling when he joined his father in the home building industry.
A long-time member of the Home Builder’s Association, he constructed houses as well as several small commercial projects for over 40 years in the Hixson, Middle Valley and Red Bank areas. Bill was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Red Bank for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Hazel Wells Triplett; sister, Lucille Thompson; and brother, Vance Triplett.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 63 years, Sybil. Also surviving Bill are his two sons’ Frank (Cindy) and Terry (Betsy); two grandchildren, Tanner and Summer; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be Friday January 5, 2017 at 12pm at the mausoleum of Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Tom Shoemate officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Jerry and Johnny Triplett, Bill Gray, Tommy Couch, Jr., Greg Shoemate and Jeff Tate.
