May 4, 1942 ~ March 16, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old
Andre Dantzler, 74, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017
The man. The myth, The legend. André Dantzler didn't know a stranger. His infectious laugh was one of his many amazing characteristics. André never met a stranger and loved everyone he met - at the gas station, at the hardware store and everywhere he went. Another of his amazing characteristics was his generosity. He offered anything and everything he had to those in need and wanted nothing more than to see those around him happy. André came to Christ as a young man through Ben Haden at First Presbyterian. This is also where he met the light of his life, Olevia. They were married for 46 years. André was proud to have two amazing sons, André (wife, Jennifer) and Nathan (wife, Megan). Also, two wonderful grandchildren, Ashley, Isaac and a new grandson on the way in April. André was a long time employee of TVA and member of IBEW. Committed friend and mentor to all of those around him, he is well remembered - leaving an “André sized hole” in many hearts. Being a member of the Tres Días community was a foundational part of his latter life. While a strong Christian, he was a free thinker that challenged those around him to think for themselves and not follow anyone or anything blindly. He loved the Lord, he loved his family and he loved life.He will be greatly missed.

Andre was preceded in death by his parents L.H. “Tot” and Eula Marie Ware; brother Frantz Dantzler
Andre is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Olevia Dantzler of Signal Mountain, TN;  sons Andre ( Jennifer)  Dantzler of Signal Mountain, TN and Nathan ( Megan) Dantzler of Nashville, TN; 2 grandchildren Ashley and Isaac Dantzler; sister Hilda McGill of Signal Mountain, TN
