Obituary for Thomas Cooper Hobbs
Thomas Cooper Hobbs, 61, of North Augusta, South Carolina passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010, at his home. Tommy was born in Chattanooga January 6, 1949. Tommy earned his Master Degree in Library Science at the University of Kentucky and was Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina, Aiken. He was a faithful member of the Quaker faith and a member of the Society of Professional Obituary Writers.
Survivors include his mother, Kathryn C. Hobbs of Chattanooga; cousins, Mary Anne (Dan) McGrew of Hixson, Billy (Robbie) McCarty of Nashville, Tn., Fran (Paul) Roand of Chattanooga, David Jones of Monroe, La. and Charles (Ann) Cooper of Fredricksburg, Va.
Funeral services will be at 12 Noon Saturday at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace with Rev. Ronald Ragon officiating. Interment will be in Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivey, Kentucky Monday, March 8, 2010 at 12 Noon. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 12 Noon Saturday at Lane Funeral Home.
